Christmas holidays 2009-  Asher  makes some Crayola window art.  Asher's Christmas loot, and waking up Christmas day.  He did not really go one way or the other on Santa- until Christmas eve, then he wanted to leave treats.  He had a letter from *cough* Santa the next morning that mama read to him.  We all had a great Christmas morning in the new house before heading to Norwich with everyone else.  He has wonderful placement with that Balloon pump and Steve, and the standard silliness with Uncle Rick.  Presents and dinner were fun, and he got a car that drives on the wall!

2010! -  Asher has a playdate with Zack, and eats his dinner in his newly re-organized office.  He tries on my old man sweatshirt, and plays "police" with me and my old matchbox cars ("his kind don't belong 'round here"...Willow is the jailor cat).  He's up to something in the car, and caught on surveillance.  And he is "that" kid at Iddy Biddy soccer at the Y.  He is almost 6, and gets a new spiked haircut.

Asher turns 6 -  Asher with a gift (On his actual birthday, his party was a week later).  1/30/10...The calm before the storm, about 30 lbs. of Salt dough and Mario worlds in cake.  The party was from 11am to 1pm.  Here is how the day went: 1) Guests arrived, played in the playroom, 2) they had a quick lesson on planting seeds, planted sunflower seeds in a small pot to take home, 3) read a story about monsters, had a lesson on monsters and made a monster out of colored salt dough, 4) played with toys, 5) had breakfast for lunch (chocolate chip pancakes, bacon, a shot-glass of cool whip, piles of fruit and juice), 6) then they opened presents, 7) had cake, and lastly played in the playroom while waiting to be picked up.  Afterwards some friends and Aunt Steph stayed to help clean up, wind down, and bask in some elephant philosophy.  Chris's gift was something that Asher has been asking for:  a series of cut paper collage Mario hats.  For how wild it was, it was a very successful day!

February 2010 -  Asher and Mama playing Super Mario Bros. on the Wii, Asher with his chicks (Willow stole and shredded one, which caused a huge crying fit), 2/26 his first snow day (we got over 20 inches), pfft! who needs to buy zhu zhu pet sleepers when Asher can just make them, and once again his "official" soccer pictures prove that he was that kid.  Not only was he backwards for one picture, but when he turned around he still covered up the kid behind him!
