"Children must respect their parents at home, respect strangers in the streets,

and respect themselves when they are all alone."  - Demetrius

Halloween, November  2008 - Trick or treating at the "scary" house (don't worry the goodly light of Thomas conquered anything evil), and with the fire truck that goes down our street every year lights on passing out candy, (this year, he only fell once!), making and playing in a pile of leaves, hugging Mama.  11-4-08 Being goofy (again..."Take a picture up my nose", celebrating OBAMA! (he went to vote with papa), bedroom camping, and taking a stand on California's Proposition 8 banning gay marriage- remaining in his tent with devil ears and a floor message until it is repealed in honor of a friend in Texas (thus the "gay tex").

Asher's Pictures Part II- September & October 2008.  These are from his digital Camera.  They are mostly from around the house, loading him into his car seat, and driving to pre-school, pictures of his Mama & Papa, his pumpkin, and a moving sequential series of him acting totally crazy, which he insisted be taken on his camera...pure genuis!

November & December 2008-  Thanksgiving Norwich NY.  Just before leaving, Asher cracked up at the bonus feature on Wall-e (His gift for helping to ring the Salvation Army bell with Mama at the Mall), hanging out with big-head papa, and napping on the way to Norwich. He tried some turkey, and was mildly over-stimulated by great grandma's decor.  Getting ready for Christmas, time with the Harts and pets.  Lounging with Papa.  We started in Rochester Christmas morning, and then drove to Norwich.  Asher opened a few gifts, went nuts for a train set, and then went nuts again later with Uncle Rick, and seemed upset with a tree before enjoying dinner.  The second to last- is one of my favorite family pictures of Asher and Stephanie- it says a thousand words.

January 17th 2009-   His fifth birthday (4 days early),  a real birthday party with friends. 2 advil for papa & all the adults survived.  Asher had his pals Will, Wil, Emily, PJ, a few parents, Penny, Jenny, John and Summer...and family of course.  The party started with hat making, had a few balloon fights, a breakfast lunch, and a Thomas cake.  In the middle of present opening, even he couldn't believe everything he got for gifts.  Then he gave Summer her Christmas presents- including a feather boa.  Somehow during all of this he turned his hat around and did a Little Rascals pose for me. And lastly, he has a sweet new train (not Thomas!!) from grandma and grandpa.

February, March, April, and May 2009-   Asher now wears his political views, has a tug of war with mama,  poses for face pics, has a play date with his pre-school pal Zack, sleeps in the window like our cats, celebrates Easter in Norwich by coloring Easter eggs, making cookies with his favorite person , playing with great grandma, and waking up to the good stuff (look at that haul!),  snuggling with his chick, and playing the Wii with cousin Brent.  Asher and Katelyn share a drink at Aladdins, Penny buys Asher his first Abbots of the summer (and proceeds to take this mug shot  and email it all around town), Asher and Katelyn at her birthday dinner, Mother's day with the Wii, Mama and Grandma- and Mario on Steph's lap.  Asher also played photographer for the volatile Grandma/Grandpa Wii bowling showdown- this way it was documented for the courts.  Gardening with Mama, and you never know what you'll wake up to in our house.  On May 23rd- it was a Rock & Roll fashion combo.
